Our building site is a demanding waterfront lot that presented BC&J with a list of challenges that required unique structural and design solutions. They rose to the occasion and designed a structure that is situated on complex slopes, conforms to specific view covenants, and makes the most out of water and mountain views. Unique architectural features include expansive decks supported by steel fins instead of posts or columns, extra-long roof soffits over the decks and a unique glass-top pergola at the entry. The pleasing roof lines are part of a design that is “topped off” with a clerestory above the main living area. The interior design is warm and friendly, oriented to the view and includes finishing touches like Hemlock ceilings and stucco fireplaces. We totally love it!
